CONSTANCE DORSEY, age 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 22, 2014 under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. During her many years in New Jersey she worked at Planned Parenthood and the Asbury Park Press. Connie was active in various organizations including the Monmouth County Cotillion Committee and the Tinton Falls Senior Group. She was an active member of Second Baptist Church Long Branch. In 2005 Connie relocated to San Francisco where she joined the Seventh Avenue Presbyterian Church and served as a Deacon and choir member. She moved to Florida in April where she enjoyed the Florida Lifestyle with family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Cecilia Tucker-Brown (Otis) of Citrus Springs, FL, Laura Morris (Kenneth) of Emoryville, CA; a brother Clifford Johnson (Monolia) of Neptune, NJ and three sisters, Delcina Teel of Georgia, Alyce Warrick-Smith and Virginia Jefferson, both of Indiana; three grandchildren, Petty Officer First Class Nicholas Tucker, serving in the United States Navy stationed in Japan, Kenson and Kingsley Morris, Emoryville, CA, and a host of nieces and nephews and lifelong friends, Eula Johnson and Virginia Bland. Constance was preceded in death by her loving guardian Mae Gordon, mother, Alyce Ford, brothers William Johnson, John (Jackie) Davenport and sister Mary Kennedy. A Celebration of Connie’s life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL. The family will receive friends in visitation from 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Hospice of Citrus County and the Nature Coast, Beverly Hills, FL. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7 NIV
