ALICE MARTINEZ, age 89, of Inverness, died November 19, 2014 under the care of the staff of New Horizons, her loving family and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. A native Floridian, Alice was born in Tampa on January 3, 1925 to the late Enrique and Amelia Mendoza. She worked in the past as a medical office assistant and pharmacy assistant. She enjoyed being with her family and playing dominoes and cards and loved to laugh. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Gloria McElveen of Clearwater and Pam and her husband Jeff Webb of Inverness, her 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Servando Martinez and daughter Dora Marie LaRue. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial donations to be made to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464.
