Gerald F. Fournier, 90, of Hernando, Florida passed away November 10, 2014 under the care of Hospice of Citrus County, Inverness, Florida. He was born on June 8, 1924 in Wilder, VT to the late Frank F. and Cordelia Amy (Dutile) Fournier. Gerald was a hairstylist, a veteran of both the U.S. Army, and the U.S. Coast Guard, and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Inverness. He enjoyed ice skating, watching birds, waterskiing, cooking, and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by a brother Norman Fournier, and a sister Loretta Fisher. Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Ann Fournier. Other survivors include sons Gerald F. (P. Kathleen) Fournier, Jr. of Upper Township, NJ, Frank J. (Stephen Elkins) of Pleasanton, CA, and Glen A. (Ann) Fournier of Milford, MA; daughters Jean M. (Ernest) Fitzpatrick of Three Lakes, WI; brothers Gordon and Harold Fournier; and 5 grandchildren. Services in Florida were held on Wednesday, November 12, 10:00 A.M. at First Assembly of God Church. Urn placement with honor guard services held Tuesday, November 18, 2:30 P.M. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness is in charge of arrangements.
