Olivia Douglas, 67, of Inverness, Florida passed away on October 25, 2014 at her residence in Inverness. She was born in Muncie, IN on August 19, 1947. Olivia worked in a window factory, and arrived in this area in 1996, coming from Taylor, MI. She was a member of Inverness First Church of God, and enjoyed square dancing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her loving husband of 18 years, Jack B. Douglas. Other survivors include her mother Hazel R. Campbell of Inverness; daughter Crystal (Shawn) Singleton of Mayslick, KY; step-sons Bryan (Tami) Douglas of Smithville, VA, Robert (Jeanette) Douglas of Ivor, VA, and Theodore (Michelle) Douglas of Derry, PA; step-daughter Jeannine (David) Cannon of Pittsburgh, PA; brothers Manuel, Teddy and Eddie Carpenter; sisters Lafonda Mauldin and Melody Carpenter; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday, 11:00 A.M. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, with Pastor Tom Walker from Inverness First Church of God officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service. Burial will follow the service at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City, Florida.
