Marguerite P Walter

Marguerite Pullen Walter (72) peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014 with her family by her side. Born in Allentown, NJ on June 17, 1942 to Byron “Bud” and Marguerite Flock, “Rita” was very active in the Allentown High School Marching Band as a fire-twirling majorette. In fact, it was at one of the football games where she met her future husband, Robert “Bob” Pullen, Sr. The two were married in June of 1960 and had two children, Robin (Michael) Crocker of Redondo Beach, CA and Robert, and his partner Luke Frazier of Washington DC. She also has two grandchildren, Benjamin and Joshua Crocker. When Bob died in 1999, Rita relocated to Inverness, Florida and later remarried Kenneth Walter who was a loving and compassionate partner throughout their twelve years of marriage. Rita was predeceased by her parents, siblings, Byron Flock and Betty Lou Johnson, and many family members and friends. She is survived by her brother, Jeff Flock of Chicago as well many brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her best friends, and the God Parents of her children, Frank and Patricia Pullen. A Celebration of Life will be held in November at the Victory Baptist Church of Inverness, FL. As Rita was an avid lover of music and the arts, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship being created in her name, details forthcoming in connection with Allentown High School. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, Florida, is in charge of arrangements.
