Ronald Kent Crosby, Lecanto, age 79, died October 8, 2014 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. A native Floridian, Ron was born in Tampa on March 23, 1935 to the late Verna and Marie (Hill) Crosby. He served our country in the United States Navy. Ron was the typical “jack-of-all-trades” but he had indeed mastered many and was an excellent carpenter. A very social, outgoing and loving man, he enjoyed bowling, square dancing and fishing. He was a Mason and Shriner. Ron delighted in his poodle “Miss Sweet Pea.” Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Anita; sons Kenney Crosby, Ray Crosby, Mike Crosby and Joseph Crosby; daughters Vicki Rhodes and Betty Hunnicutt; step-son Ronald Martin and step-daughter Tina Hodges; 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind faithful and special friends Aron and his wife Denise Aldridge, Kenneth and Pam Cook and Jane White; their care, comfort and kindness in our time of need will never be forgotton. He was preceded in death by a brother Holland Crosby. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is in charge of private arrangements. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
The family requests donations to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464 in lieu of flowers that they may continue to provide for others as they have done for our beloved Ron.
