Joan R. McDow, 76, of Inverness, FL passed away September 17, 2014 at her residence. She was born on July 23, 1938 in Jacksonville, FL to the late William W. and Bessie (Kristoff) Moore. Joan was a school bus driver, and arrived in this area in 1971, coming from St. Petersburg, FL. She was a school bus driver for the Citrus County school system for many years, and enjoyed shopping and reading. Survivors include sons Rodney (Melissa) McDow of Ocala, FL, and Kevin (Missy) McDow of Inverness; sisters Gloria Willis of Inverness, and Nancy Moore of Ocala; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
