CLIFFORD MARTIN TRAVIS, age 60, died September 10, 2014 at his residence. Cliff was born on July 3, 1954 in Elmira, NY to the late Robert and Lillian (Bloomer) Travis. Active all of his life with the Boy Scouts of America, he received his Eagle Scout Award in 1972 from the Gulf Ridge Council in Tampa. This last year he was awarded the Silver Beaver Award, an adult award, for lifetime achievement in the organization. Cliff was also an active lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a member of Ducks Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation. He served his country in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, he graduated from Florida State University and then went on to finish his law degree at Cumberland Law School in Birmingham, AL. Cliff was recruited as a young attorney by the law firm of Infantino and Berman in Inverness. He served as the city attorney for his first few years with this firm. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Spencer; brother and his wife Jeffrey and Sharon Travis and sister Cynthia Travis Watkins and her children Lillian and Travis Watkins, all of Zephyrhills. A funeral tribute to Cliff’s life will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory with Pastor Doug Alexander officiating. The family invites friends to join them in visitation from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Gulf Ridge Council Boy Scouts of America of Tampa, FL.
