Frances Johnson

Frances Johnson, 58, of Homosassa, went to be with the Lord September 7, 2014 under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. A native of Inverness, Frances was born on February 20, 1956 to James and Mary (Elliot) Willis. A caring women with a big heart, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her life as a homemaker and partner to her husband of 39 years, Steve Johnson. Spending time with sons Gregory and Wayne at their sports games, being their biggest fan, was also one of her life’s joys. She also enjoyed gardening, yard work and crafts.  Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Steve Johnson; sons Gregory B. Johnson of Homosassa, Wayne and April Johnson of Beverly Hills; parents, James and Mary Willis of Homosassa, brother James & Debbie Willis of Crystal River and sister, Ann & Frank Hixon of Inverness; grandchildren Juliann and Hunter, special nephews and nieces’ and extended family members. A funeral service of remembrance and tribute to Frances’ life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Bible Baptist Church, 5740 West Norvell Bryant Hwy, Crystal River, FL. The family invites friends to join them in visitation from 3:30 PM until the hour of service. Interment will be a private service at a later date. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
