Richard P Stype Sr

RICHARD PAUL STYPE, SR., age 84, Lecanto, died August 21, 2014 at Brentwood Health Care Center. Dick was born on December 17, 1929 in Wooster, OH to the late Henry and Katheryn (Collins) Stype. He served our country in the United States Air Force. Dick enjoyed trips to the casino, especially playing black jack. He liked to travel and collect gem stones to have set into jewelry. He started his career working for Orkin and then bought a Terminex Pest Control franchise in St. Petersburg and Clearwater and after his retirement, joined his son in Stype Pest Control in Inverness. He enjoyed his life ranching and investing in real estate. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Florence Stype; his son Richard P. (Hazel) Stype, Jr., Floral City, FL and daughter Kathy (Pete) Ward, Marietta, GA; step-children Warren (Dorrie) Bartlett, Palm Harbor, FL, Sandra Bartlett, Oakland, CA, Claire Bartlett, Inverness, Jean (Nathan) Simar, MN, Mary Jo (Pat) Golley, Pinellas Park, FL and Sue Bartlett, Lutz, FL; grandchildren Julie, Stephen, Ryan, Megan, Sabrina, Terry, Troy; step-grandchildren Phaedra, Rika, Curt, Bryan, Jessica, Kristina, Mike, Isaac, Alex and Gina; 5 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth (Jean) Stype. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
