Clara L Weaver

Clara Louise (Magnusson) Weaver, 86, of Inverness, Florida, passed away Aug. 9, 2014. She was the much-loved daughter of Carl Alfred Magnusson (Sweden) and Ester Knudson Magnusson (Grand Haven, Michigan). Born in Berwyn, Illinois, she graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in biology. She later earned a nursing degree from St. Petersburg Junior College and worked at Citrus Memorial hospital and Seven Rivers hospital for many years as a registered nurse.
She was a loving and proud mother of Rebecca Sparks, Bruce (Joanna) Weaver, Catherine Weaver and Sarah Weaver; and grandmother of eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Carl Magnusson (Nancy) and Helena Magnusson (George Hayden).
Clara was a very intelligent woman, a lifelong learner, with a great sense of humor and an independent way of thinking. She could outshine us all with her ability to produce creative solutions to life\’s everyday problems. She was a very approachable and kind person who seemed able to make friends with anyone. She cared about the environment and social causes and was a consistent supporter of many groups, such as the Nature Conservancy and the Native American St. Labre School in Montana. She will be greatly missed.
She left this Earth in the comforting presences of our wonderful family friends, Nancy Bomke and Chris Trangas. Many thanks go to the loving and caring workers at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast (especially Genie) and to Amanda who made Mom’s last year of life so much happier. A memorial service/celebration of life will be held later this year.
