JACQUELINE LOIS STANDAFER, age 87, Crystal River, died August 3, 2014 at the Life Care Center of Citrus County, surrounded by her family. Jacqueline was born on October 4, 1926 in Louisville, KY to the late Morton and Lois Blanton. She was a homemaker and a gifted artist who was able to sell her paintings even during the difficult days of The Great Depression. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Deborah “Dee Dee” Standafer, Crystal River; son Scott W. Standafer; brother Buddy (Drew) Field, Fort Wayne, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren G. Standafer. The family extends their deepest thanks to the staff of Life Care Center, especially Director of Nursing Sondra Bussell, nurses Cindy Merhoff, Aubrey Clement and Crystal McCormick as well as the team of exceptional CNAs (you know who you are) all of whom cared for Jacqueline with kindness and devotion during her last days and supported her family with their warmth during her passing.
