Donald G. Risedorf, age 90, Inverness, died June 27, 2014 under the care of Arbor Trail staff and Hospice of Citrus County. Don was born on October 14, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Thomas E. and Anna Risedorf and was raised in Livingston, NJ. Don served our country in the United States Army during WWII serving 3 years in the South Pacific. He was employed by Public Service Electric and Gas Company in NJ as the chief lineman for 33 years and was a member of the Public Service Retired Employees Club- North Florida Chapter and a former member of East Hanover Township (NJ) Police Reserve and regular force for 22 years. After relocation to Inverness in 1988, he attended the First Church of God. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Doris Risedorf; daughters Donna Needham of Inverness and Sandra Iannarone of Aurora, Colorado; grandchildren Tracey (Jim), Corinne (Brock), Wendy (John), Cindy (Kevin) and Michael; three great-grandchildren, Jayden, Meagan, Kendall and special other children Laurie and Paul and their family; sister-in-law Elsie Risedorf, NY; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by brothers Wilbur, Kenneth, Norman, his sister Althea and son-in-law Jay Needham. A Funeral Tribute to Donald\’s life will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. Family will greet friends in visitation from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
