DeVon Matthewson

DEVON MATTHEWSON, JR., age 74, Homosassa, died May 30, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and under the care of HPH Hospice. DeVon was born on December 27, 1939 in Durand, MI to the late DeVon and Neva Matthewson. He was a professional drywall finisher working in the construction industry. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he was very social, enjoyed being with people and enjoyed playing cards. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 27 years, Linda Matthewson; sons Troy Cal Matthewson, Homosassa and DeVon Matthewson, III (wife- Carrie), New Port Richie; Daughters, Deborah Lynn Clary (husband-Eddie) Holiday, Donah Matthewson (husband-Pete), Homosassa; stepdaughters Melissa Ferraro, Homosassa, Samantha Ferraro, Howell, MI and Rebecca Ferraro, Springhill; brothers George Fortress, MI and James Matthewson, GA and sister Pat Edwards, MO; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements.
