Robert L. Gilbreath, 83, of Inverness, FL passed away at his residence on May 18, 2014. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 22, 1930 to the late George and Margaret (Asplund) Gilbreath. Robert served our country in the U.S. Army in Korea and Japan, and was an electromechanical designer in the aerospace industry. He arrived in this area in 1993, coming from Satellite Beach, FL. Robert was an active member in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 43 years. He enjoyed preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom, teaching the bible, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth Gilbreath. Other survivors include son David Mike Gilbreath of Indian Harbour, FL; 2 grandchildren, Damion and Crystal; and 3 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Meryl-Lynn, and Sharley. He was preceded in death by son James Pat Gilbreath. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 1:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 110 N. Central Avenue, Inverness, FL. 34452. Cremation arrangements by Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
