Linda R. Shaffer

LINDA R. SHAFFER, age 60, Beverly Hills, died April 12, 2014 at her residence under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. Linda was born on July 2, 1953 in Louisville, KY to the late Theodore and Wanda (Roth) Randall. She was employed by the State of North Carolina as a sales tax law administrator. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Inverness and served as the Women’s Ministry President for two years. She loved reading and belonged to a book club. She enjoyed volunteering at the dental clinic, supported cancer causes, and participating in the Relay for Life. Linda was very patriotic, sent care packages to many troops deployed throughout the years and supported veteran’s causes. Linda was a very strong Christian and loved the Lord and Jesus with all her heart. She read her bible every day making notes in the margins. Linda was so upset how America is turning away from God. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her memory will be cherished by her husband of 24 years, Vance Shaffer; her son Scott Shaffer, Sarasota, FL; daughters Michelle Finlayson (husband Alan) and Amy Binns (husband Joe), all of Raleigh, NC, grandchildren Emily, Katie, Alyssa and Christian and great-grandchildren Kayden and Gabriella, and her brother Michael Randall (wife Teresa) Whispering Pines, NC. Private arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory.
