Lurline Brooks

LURLINE BROOKS, age 91, Lecanto, died April 9,2014 at Woodland Terrace. Lurline was born in Lumber City, GA on November 24, 1922 to the late James and Maranda (Browning) Anderson. She was employed by Florida First National Bank as a teller. Lurline was very active in the Chosen Missionary Baptist Church, serving in many ministries as well as in the Garden Club and Women of the World. Survivors include her niece and caregiver, Annette Francis and niece Helen Davis and many other extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer Brooks and her daughter, Charlyne. A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Port Myaca Cemetery in Port Mayaca. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with local arrangements.
