CATHERINE LOUISE RAYMOND, age 86, of Lake Isabella, MI and Bushnell, FL died March 8, 2014. She was born July 2, 1927 in Flint, MI to the late Albert and Alma (Fogelsonger) Ott. She married Daryl “Jerry” Raymond in 1950 and together they raised seven children. She is survived by her husband Jerry, sons Mark (Paulette) Raymond, Carson City, NV, Jack (Denise) Raymond, Canton, MS, and daughters Lynn (John) Lumkowski, New Athens, IL, Susan (Kerry) Lambert, Mount Holly, NC, Jill (Dennis) Hendrix, Upton, WY and Nancy (Steve) Michaels, Sioux Falls, SC; 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Daryl Raymond, Jr. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed every aspect of homemaking, flower gardening and traveling with her family. She loved to bake, a skill she learned from her mother; and she was widely admired for her baked goods. She was proud of her Dutch heritage and her family. She was active in the Lutheran Church and was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She worked for a time for General Motors and the State of Michigan. She volunteered with the Girl Scouts. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 10:00 AM at First Lutheran Church of Inverness. Memorials may be sent to Concordia University in Ann Arbor, MI to the Raymond scholarship fund. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
