JACK LEON CRIBBS, age 83, Homosassa, died February 26, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and under the care of HPH Hospice. Jack was born on February 27, 1930 in Turkey Creek, FL to the late Robert L. and Lucy (Bradshaw) Cribbs. He served our country in the United States Army with the Army of Occupation in Germany. Jack was employed by Citrus County as an inspector in the mosquito control division for over 11 years. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and camping. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 65 years, Dolores Cribbs; sons Jack L. Cribbs, Jr. and his wife Jamie, Nashville, TN, Donald S. Cribbs, Crystal River,his daughter Kathi and her husband Rich Orsic, Hernando, MS; his brother Thomas; sisters Joyce, June, Sandra and Sharon; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons Douglas Cribbs, Ronald Cribbs and a grandson Timothy Orsic, four brothers and one sister. Graveside committal with military honors will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 2:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The family will receive friends in visitation from 1:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home until the procession leaves for the cemetery. The family requests donations in Jack’s memory to HPH Hospice, Citrus Office, 3545 N. Lecanto Hwy, Beverly Hills, FL 34465 in lieu of flowers.
