William W. “Pete” Kendall, age 64, Inverness, died February 22, 2014 at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala. Pete was born on April 14, 1949 in Fort Pierce, FL to the late William M. and Doris Jean Kendall. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. Pete was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Inverness for 31 years. He was a NASCAR racing fan and enjoyed fishing and watching professional wrestling. He also served as a member of the Citrus County Sheriff’s Posse and Citizen’s On Patrol. Left to cherish his memory are sons Pete Michael (Danielle) Kendall, NC, Jeremiah Kendall, FL; daughters Nancy Kendall, TX and Mallarina Thornton, FL; his former spouse, Donna; brothers Leonard (Mary Frances) Kendall and Charles Kendall; sister, Sissy Garwood; four grandchildren, Christina Smith, Hayleigh Turner, Kalvin and Ty Kendall; six great-grandchildren. The family invites friends to join them for a celebration of life and tribute to Pete on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Please consider a donation in Pete’s memory to American Heart Association online in lieu of flowers.
