Frederick R. Tripp, 88, of Inverness, Florida passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014 under the care of HPH Hospice, Lecanto, Florida. He was born on September 16, 1925 in Burlington, Vermont to the late Charles Roger and Olive (Russell) Tripp. Frederick was a firefighter, and worked for the Tampa Florida Fire Department for 22 years, retiring as Captain; a U.S. Navy WWII veteran, and a Baptist by faith. He arrived in this area in 2008, coming from Silver Springs, Florida. Frederick enjoyed socializing with his friends from the American Legion and VFW. He is preceded in death by his wife of 10 years, Gelita Tripp and one son John Steven Tripp. Survivors include sons Mike (Sunday) Tripp of Inverness, David (Terry) Tripp of Lutz, Florda, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
