Myrtle H. Samec, 92, of Inverness, Florida passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at her residence. She was born on October 27, 1921 in Many, Louisiana to the late Jessie Edward and Mary Jane (Armstrong) Bass. Myrtle was a homemaker and home health aide, and arrived in this area in 1985 coming from St. Petersburg, Florida. She was a Christian by faith, and enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, and spending time with her family. Survivors include children: Edward Samec III and Phyllis Raynor, both of Inverness, Peggy L. Samec of Floral City, Florida, Rita Tilka of Columbus, Ohio and Pauline Onley of Shreveport, Louisiana; brother Jessie E. Bass, Jr.; sisters Amanda Heintschel and Murlene Thompson; 9 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014, 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
