Donald L Holcomb

Donald L. Holcomb, 70, of Inverness, Florida passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Hospice of Citrus County. He was born on March 17 1943 in Silver Creek, New York to the late Jack and Laverna (Heitzenrater) Holcomb. Donald was a Computer Scientist for the Computer Science Corp. in Silver Springs, Maryland, and arrived in this area in 2005, coming from Laurel, Maryland. He was a past member on the Board of Directors for two homeless shelter organizations; Sanctuary in Homosassa, and Refuge in Bushnell. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, and watching baseball and football. He was preceded in death by one son, Craig Holcomb. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joanne Holcomb. Other survivors include sons Chris (Jen) Holcomb of Severn, Maryland and Jeff (Stacey) Holcomb of Springhill, Florida; brother Jack Holcomb, Jr., and 5 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, December 21, 2013, 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church of Inverness. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, is in charge of arrangements.
