James H McGrath

James H. McGrath, 74, of Homosassa, Florida passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 under the care of Hospice of Citrus County in Lecanto. He was born on March 23, 1939 in Bronx, New York to the late John L. and Antonette (Fournier) McGrath. James was a U.S. Army veteran, a Roman Catholic by faith, and a heavy equipment mechanic for the mining industry. He arrived in this area 9 years ago, coming from Lakeland, Florida. James enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors, and with his wife Elaine, founded the Coast Guard Auxilliary in Lakeland, Florida. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Elaine McGrath. Other survivors include his children, Jim (Angie) McGrath and, John (Neicy) McGrath, both of Lakeland, and Jennifer (Jim) Bowers of Springhill, Florida; 6 grandchildren. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, Florida.
