Kerry Scott Gorham, 59, of Inverness, Florida passed away October 2, 2013 at his residence in Inverness. He was born on January 16, 1954 in Queens, New York. Kerry was a Senior Chief for the U.S. Navy, with twenty years of service to our country. He arrived in this area in 1975, coming from Brentwood, New York, and attended First Assembly of God in Inverness. Kerry was a smooth talker and was known as the “Voice of Ocala” at Lockheed Martin, where he worked for many years. He enjoyed teaching and sharing the Word of God, and loved his dogs. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Gorham. Survivors include his loving wife of thirty seven years, Brenda S. Gorham. Other survivors include one son, Elmer Eugene (Julie) Gorham of Redmond, Washington; one daughter, Joy Malinda Gorham of Inverness; his mother, Arlene “Pat” Gorham of Inverness; one brother, Corey (Jill) Gorham; one sister, Gena (Press) Barnhill; and three grandchildren, Lily, Willow, and Autumn. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2013, 3:00 PM, at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
