BERWIN W. STORER, age 79, Floral City, died September 7, 2013 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Berwin was born on May 29, 1934 in Brewer, Maine to the late Walter and Lurene (Lord) Storer. He served our country proudly in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean conflict. Berwin was a deputy sheriff with Piscataquis County, Maine for 40 years. He was a self-employed painter and roofer, specializing in slate roofing. He was a man who was a hard worker with a strong work ethic. Berwin was a charter member of VFW #7122 in Floral City, member of their honor guard and member of American Legion Posts in both Maine and Florida. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years, Yvette; daughter Crystal Storer, Zephyrhills, FL; sons Tollef (Linda) Storer, Orrington, ME and Kevin (Molly) Storer, Monson, ME; sister Carolyn Briggs; brother Allan Storer; grandchildren Jacob, Amelia, Emily and Aaron. He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 2:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Citrus County or Pine Tree Camp in Smithfield, Maine. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
