Donald George Greenwell of Chicago, Illinois departed from this life August 13, 2013 at his residence in Chicago. Donald was born on February 18, 1959 in Chicago, IL. He attended Von Steuben High School and was a contractor by trade.
Donald was Christian by faith and has three children, Shawnna Marie Greenwell-Young (Tom) with three grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, and Kay Leigh of Amarillo, Texas; son Brandon, and daughter Jessica, grandson Zach. Donald was preceded in death by his Father, David W. Greenwell Sr., Step Father Glenn Arthur Kilgus,and Brother-in-law Peter Paul Beinor. He is survived by his Mother Rose Greenwell-Kilgus, Sister Anita Rose Beinor, Inverness, Brother David Walter (Laura) Greenwell Jr. of Bristol, WI, Uncles John (Marlene) Veloria and Robert (Joni) Veloria, who reside in Chicago. Donald has numerous cousins in the Chicago area, and aunts, uncles and cousins in the Inverness, Bushnell and surrounding Florida area. (Maramans, and Blands). He will be missed by a multitude of close friends in both Illinois and Florida.
Arrangements are being handled by Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with cremation in Illinois. The family will receive friends at A Celebration of his life held at his residence in Illinois on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 2 pm. His final resting place will be in Amarillo, Texas. The family requests donations to American Diabetes Society in lieu of flowers.
