Walter “Bill” Jordan

WALTER (BILL) R. JORDAN, 92 of Beverly Hills, died Saturday, July 27, 2013 under the care of Hospice of Citrus County. Bill was born on July 24, 1921 in Palisades, New York to the late Walter and Mildred (Tete) Jordan. He served our country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.

Bill was a master mechanic and owned his own auto shop in Dunedin. After selling his shop, he moved to Citrus County in 1975 where he worked many years as Service Manager for Brown-Heiskell Chrysler-Dodge-Plymouth.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Suzanne Welch Jordan, on March 18, 1988, his precious granddaughter, Candy Mae Jordan also in 1988 and his sister Muriel Jordan. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Jordan of Beverly Hills; brother Albert Jordan and his wife, Diane of New York; sister-in-law Margaret Doran and brother-in-law Fr. Bill Welch, both from Arizona; his daughters: Eileen Floerke and Pat Williams and her husband Rick both of Beverly Hills; Kathy Timberlake and her husband Cole of Brandford, FL; his sons: Mark Jordan and his wife, Bonnie and David Jordan and his wife Sue, both of Hernando. Bill is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services for Bill will be conducted on Friday, August 2nd at 10AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness, with Rev. Doug Alexander of the New Church Without Walls, officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Marine Corps League Detachment #819. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday, August 1st from 6-8 PM.
