Roger W Bellah Sr

Roger W. Bellah, Sr., 76, of Homosassa, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at his residence in Homosassa, under the care of Hospice of Citrus County, and surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina on April 5, 1937 to the late William and Connie Bellah. Roger was a heavy equipment inspector for the civil service, and a US Navy veteran. He arrived in this area in 1994, coming from St. Marys, Georgia. Roger enjoyed wood working, pine needle basket weaving, and spending time with family. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 1/2 years, Irene Bellah. Other survivors include two sons, Michael and Howard Bellah, of Greenville, North Carolina; two daughters, Sheila (Jerry) Jackson of Greenville, North Carolina and Monica Elaine Loeb of Orange Park, Florida; one brother, Robert Bellah of Charleston, South Carolina; two sisters, Constance Varner and Jean Burns, of Charleston; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors is scheduled for Monday, July 1, 2013, 11:00 A.M. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida. The family requests donations to Hospice of Citrus County, PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, Florida, 34464. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, Florida.
