David M Peardon

David Mitchell Peardon, 76, of Floral City, Florida, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at his residence in Floral City. He was born in Whiteside, Tennessee on June 2, 1937 to the late Thomas Mitchell and Juanita Gladys (Parker) Peardon. David served in the US Air Force for 16 years, previously serving in the US Army for four years, and was a TSgt. upon retirement after serving in both Korea and Viet Nam. He was a very talented musician who performed with several bands while in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, as well as here in Florida; being a founding member of the “Strictly Country” band. He served as a Rifleman for VFW Post #7122 Honor Guard, and was one of it’s original members. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #225, Floral City. Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-two years, Peggy F. Peardon. Other survivors include two sons, Randy Peardon and his companion Kathy Pitts, of Floral City, Danny Peardon of Goldsboro, North Carolina; daughter Diane Kennedy of Goldsboro, North Carolina; step-daughter Jennifer Atwell of Silverhill, Alabama; brother Robert K. Peardon of Liberty, Texas; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A graveside service with military honors is scheduled for Wednesday, June 19, 2013, 10:00 AM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either Hospice of Citrus County, PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, Fl 34464, or the Floral City Honor Guard, Post #7122, 8191, S. Florida Ave., Floral City, Fl 34436. Arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, Florida.
