THEODORE “TED” VERNON STUBBS, age 76, Floral City, died June 5, 2013 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Ted was born on July 26, 1936 in Fitzgerald, GA to the late George and Rena (McMillon) Stubbs. He served our country in the United States Army. Ted worked for Ford Motor Company for over 33 years as a handler. He was a member of Point-O-Woods Golf Course and member of First Lutheran Church of Inverness. He loved to make people laugh, was an avid entertainer, a man who never met a stranger. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 30 years, Marylyn Stubbs; sons Richard (Donna) Stubbs, Australia, Jimmy (Andrea) Stubbs, Utica, MI, Todd (Liz) Stubbs, Highland, MI, stepson Johhny (Robin) Kennedy, Deland, FL, stepbrothers Bill (Iris) Sutton, Venice, FL and Richard (Louise) Sutton, Carleton, MI, sister Joyce Lemieux, Woodhaven, MI, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson. A Funeral Service Tribute will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 9:30 AM at First Lutheran Church of Inverness. Burial will follow with military honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The family will receive friends in visitation on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 4-6 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted’s memory are requested to American Cancer Society.
