DEAN DONOVAN DEHNEL, age 86, Inverness, died June 5, 2013 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Dean was born on February 6, 1927 in Bertha, MN to the late Fred and Nellie (Johnson) Dehnel. Dean served our country in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. He was employed as a manufacturing representative in the communications equipment business. Dean was a member of the American Legion and VFW Post #4337 of Inverness. He was a founding member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church of Inverness. Left to cherish his memory are three sons, David (Barbara) Dehnel, Raleigh, NC, Dirk (Sharon) Dehnel, Palm Harbor, FL and Donald (Margine) Dehnel, Huntsville, AL; his daughter Denise Dehnel, Inverness, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn on May 12, 2012 and his sister Bernice Horn. A celebration of life tribute will be held for Dean on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Inurnment will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
