Douglas L Hampton

Douglas Lee Hampton, age 82, Hernando, died May 16, 2013 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center. Doug was born on June 6, 1930 in Kennett, MO to the late Lexie B. and Mabel (Lucas) Hampton. He served our country in the United States Air Force. Doug was employed by City Finance Company as a consumer finance executive for over 28 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years, Wilma Hampton, two sons Keith (Janice) Hampton, Richland, WA and Reid Hampton, Memphis, TN and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Alexia Stanley Hampton and his sister, Geraldine Bennett. A Funeral Tribute to Doug will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 2:30 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends in visitation from 1:30 until the hour of service. The family requests memorial donations in Doug’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in lieu of flowers.
