Carolyn Rhoads

CAROLYN RHOADS, age 69, Floral City, died May 1, 2013 surrounded by her loving family and Hospice of Citrus County staff. Carolyn was born on June 13, 1943 in Jellico, TN to the late George and Thelma (Ayers) Evans and relocated to this area in 1998 from Medina, NY. Carolyn was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxillary #1482 in Medina. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 26 years, Daniel W. Rhoads; her son Chad G. Plummer, Jasper, FL; daughters Cynthia (Randy) Hurt, Medina, NY, and Carrie (Mark) Standish, Albion, NY; stepson Jon M. (Lynn) Rhoads, Kissimmee, FL; stepdaughters Gina Marie (Jamie) Stringfellow, Inverness and Jennifer (Paul) Hessell, Middleport, NY; brothers Charles (Darla) Evans, MI, Johnny Evans, Jeffrey Evans, and Lyle (Diane) Evans, all of NY; sisters Wilma (Louie) Koel, GA and Sherri (David) Downey, NY; sister-in-law Dawn Evans; grandchildren Sarah, Jill, Adam, Christopher and Aaron. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie. A celebration tribute to Carol’s life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. Food and fellowship will follow the service at the VFW Post #7122 in Floral City. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
