CHANDA LEE COSTA, age 67, Crystal River, died March 18, 2013 at Life Care Center in Lecanto under the care of Hospice of Citrus County. Chanda was born on October 15, 1945 in Lansing, MI to the late Robert J. and Mary Louise (Powis) Costa. She was employed as a Registered Nurse, working for many years at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, MA.
Chanda enjoyed sewing, painting and embroidery work. She was a lifelong “Parrotthead” and member of the Moose Lodge of Inverness.
Left to cherish her memory are her children John C. Baier, Jr. and wife Lisa, Dartmouth, MA and Cathy Mehrl and husband Steve, Crystal River, FL; grandchildren Heather Carpenter and her husband Mitchell and Alex Mehrl and his wife Nichelle; great-grandchildren Emily Carpenter and Joshua and Brody Baier.
Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements. Donations in Chanda’s memory are requested to Humanitarians of Florida, P.O. Box 924, Inverness, FL 34451 in lieu of flowers.
