LAWRENCE ALFRED GIANSANTI, age 53, Copperas Cove, Texas: Larry, oldest son of Phyllis and Alfred Giansanti of Beverly Hills, died suddenly on March 9, 2012 in Sierra Vista, Arizona. He was born on July 1, 1958 in Hialeah, Florida and grew up in South Miami. For the past 25 years he had been living in Texas. Larry served as a Marine from 1977 to 1986. Larry was trained as a radio repair technician at Camp Pendleton, California. He was later transferred to 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where he served as a Reconnaisance Radio Operator. Larry was extremely proud of military service to his country. Larry spent the last 25 years working as a contractor for U.S. Army Operational Test Command, Ft. Hood, Texas. He was responsible for Engineering Project Planning, test instrumentation system design and execution of testing programs. Most recently he was working in El Paso, Texas on a special project for the Operational Test Command. Larry is survived by his wife, Julie, daughter Andrea\’; step-children Danielle, Tori and Hunter. Parents Alfred and Phyllis Giansanti of Beverly Hills, Florida; sister Kris Devlin of Largo, Florida; sister Rose Giansanti of Tallahassee, Florida; sister Teresa Kirby (and Don) of Austin, Texas; brother, John (and Nikki) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and several nieces and nephews. Larry stood over most at 6\’8” and made it his personal mission to see the humorous side of life\’s ridiculous situations. Larry always had people laughing at every gathering. He was a very giving person who would lend a helping hand to his friends and neighbors. He was a very proud man with firm convictions and beliefs. His experience in the Marines molded his life to follow God, Honor and Country. Lawrence was a devoted son, brother, father and husband. His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He will be severely missed. A Remembrance Gathering will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464.
