Alice M. Stavola of Beverly Hills, FL passed away while under the loving care of her family and Vitas Hospice on July 25, 2021 at the age 94. She was born to the late Emile and Nancy (Noble) Travers on July 20, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY. Alice was married to her loving husband Thomas Stavola for 60 years until his passing on January 22, 2009. She and Thomas came to Citrus County 30 years ago after relocating from Staten Island, NY and is a former parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, FL. In her spare time Alice enjoyed making ceramics and spending time with her family.
Those left to mourn Alice’s passing include her sons: James Stavola and his wife Carol of Beverly Hills, FL, David T. Stavola and his wife Sandy of Ocala, FL; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by grandson, David Stavola; brothers: George and Robert Travers; and daughter in law, Denise Stavola.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness with Father Tim Cummings, Celebrant. Friends are invited to join the family in visitation at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home at 1:00 PM and are also invited to join the procession to the church which will depart from the funeral home promptly at 1:45 PM. Following cremation, Alice will be laid to rest with her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at a later date. Arrangements under the care of the Chas E.
