Ormie A Benson

Ormie A. Benson, 85, Inverness passed away August 12, 2016 in Citrus Memorial Hospital. A native of Battle Creek, MI, he was born June 27, 1931 to the late Harry and Ruth (Cady) Benson. He retired from the Kellogg Company with over 35 years of service and served our country in the U.S. Navy. Following retirement, he and his wife, Madge moved to Inverness, FL in 1986.
Ormie was a devoted and active member of the Calvary Chapel Church in Inverness which was formerly the Main Street Baptist Church.

Left to mourn his loss is his wife of 55 years, Madge (Ratliff) Benson, Inverness FL; his daughter, Constance Benson, Floral City, FL; 1 stepson, Stephen Ratliff, Burlington, MI; 1 brother, Mark Benson, Bristol, CT; 2 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. Ormie was preceded in death by a great grandson, Cody Eric Culp and a step great grandson, Christopher Adams.

Ormie’s life will be remembered and celebrated on Tuesday, August 16th at 3:00 PM from the Chas E Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Ballard, pastor of Calvary Chapel officiating. Additional services and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Battle Creek, MI. Friends will be received in visitation from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.
