It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the passing of Grace Mae Hollingsworth, age 71, of Floral City, Florida. Grace passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital in Inverness.
Born September 9, 1953, in Danville, Illinois, to the late Martha Miles, Grace’s life was a testament to the strength and love she shared with her family and friends. Two years ago, she made the heartwarming decision to relocate to Citrus County from Illinois, seeking the warmth of Florida’s sunshine and escaping the harsh winters of her home state. She moved here with her son, Damien, and his wife, Michelle.
Grace leaves behind a legacy of love, leaving to cherish her memory her children: Damien Hollingsworth and his wife, Michelle, of Floral City, Florida; and Christie Long and her husband, John, of Westville, Illinois. Her joy extended to her three beloved grandchildren, Blake, Cole (Karrington), and Madison (Damian), and her five cherished great-grandchildren: Gabby, Gracie, Zaedyn, Branson, and Haizlei. These young lives were enriched by her presence and will forever carry her love in their hearts.
Grace was predeceased by her mother, Martha Miles; sisters Barbara White, Judy Foley, Connie Miles, and Betty Morgan; and brothers Paul, Jack, Bill,Gene,James, Larry, and Robert White. She was surrounded by a large and loving family, each member touched deeply by her kindness and generosity. The void left by her passing will be felt keenly by all who knew her.
The family has chosen private cremation arrangements under Charles E. Davis Funeral Home and will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
