Donna Marie Tvenstrup, 80, of Inverness, passed away February 17, 2025 at Arbor Trail Nursing and Rehab, with her devoted husband Danny, by her side. Donna was born in Evansville, Indiana on February 10, 1945 to the late Elmer O. and Margie (Hallmark) Heath. She came to Citrus County in 1965 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, then lived in Tallahassee, FL from 1973 until 1974. Donna was the Finance Director for the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office for 24 years. She served on the Leon County School Board and the Citrus County School Board. She was a member of the Xi Epsilon Chi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Donna was also affiliated with the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch and the Florida Baptist Children’s Home.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Danford “Danny” Tvenstrup; her sister, Delores H. Kelly and her husband Pete, of Inverness; Nephews: Darren Wilson and Derek (Tamara) Wilson, of Inverness and Dean (Deborah) Wilson of Georgia; Great nieces: Rebecca Fussell, Amanda (Taylor) Barrs, Jenny Wilson, Lauren Eschenfelder, Jessica (Nick) German, Victoria Pfeiffer; Great nephews: Dustin (Krista), Heath (Natalie), Michael and Matthew Wilson; Great Great nephews and Nieces: Garret Wilson, Knox Wilson, Cameron and Andrew Fussell, Pierce Wilson, Payton Wilson and Adrienne and Anabelle German, Lyla, Sara and Alaina Barrs.
A Celebration of Life honoring Donna will be conducted on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Inverness, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Dr. Byron Brown officiating. Following cremation, Donna’s urn will be interred at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Arrangements are under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
