It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Janet Drew, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left us peacefully on February 16, 2025 at the age of 84.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 3, 1940, Janet worked tirelessly throughout her life, providing for her loved ones with both grace and determination. Whether it was tending to her family’s needs or taking care of others in her job, she did so with an inspiring work ethic and a selflessness that made her a role model to all who knew her.
Janet will be remembered for her gentle soul, her boundless love, and her ability to make those around her feel at peace. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, care, and devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who loved her.
Janet is survived by her son Charles Wayne Drew, JR, and his wife Pam Drew, daughters Kristy Clark, Tammy Pensinger and Wendy Milam along with son in law Ricky Milam. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles Wayne Drew, Sr, and daughter Julie Kay Miner.
A private memorial service will be held for close family and friends at Charles E Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, Florida on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
