Vera “Carolyn” Black, 91, of Floral City, FL passed away February 11, 2025 at HCA Citrus Hospital in Inverness, FL. She was born in Floral City in 1933 and shared time between Floral City and Forest Park, GA. She was Methodist by faith and had attended Rex United Methodist Church in Rex, GA. She enjoyed cooking and traveling and loved babies and Bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Glennell C. Black, two sons, Cliff and Mike Black, and brother, Jack Myers. Survivors include her daughters, Glynda (Pete) Blackstock of Floral City, and Gina (Ron) Dunn of Locust Grove, GA; 7 grandchildren, Jason, Joe, Caprice, Eddie, Amber, Britany and Brandy and 12 great grandchildren, Madison, Mackenzie, Logan, Jake, Charlotte, Isabelle, Autumn, Sailor, Brayden, Clover, Levi and Ryder. Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, February 17th, 11:00 am at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City. A procession will depart the funeral home at 10:45 am for the cemetery. Arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.

    Gina, Rob and kids we are so sorry about mama passing and are praying for y’all, we are also thankful that we got to know her one of the sweetest and kindest person we have had the pleasure of having in our lives, she was an amazing lady, full of love and joy, her cooking was delicious just wonderful no doubt she is missed by many as well as loved.
