Felix Christopher Giusto, of Crystal River and formerly Inverness, passed away peacefully under Vitas Hospice care in Lecanto on January 11, 2025. He was 88 years young. Felix was born in the Bronx to Philip and Elizabeth Giusto. A few days shy of his 19th birthday, he was inducted into the United States Army, and served his country proudly. Once Felix was honorably discharged from the service, he moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL, working in construction. After about 20 years or so living in South Florida, he decided to move north by about 60 miles to get away from the traffic and congestion. Several years later, he moved again for the same reason, and he eventually ended up in Inverness, as it was a quiet, little town. Felix thoroughly loved running marathons and cycling. In fact, he was riding his bike right up until about three years ago. Felix just enjoyed being outdoors, in general. Felix was preceded in death by his loving wife in 2002, Jean. Those left to cherish his memory are many beloved relatives and dear friends. The family will receive friends at the Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 9 until 10:30am. There will be a committal service with full military honors at Florida National Cemetery at 11:30am. The procession will leave promptly at 10:45. Arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with cremation care, Inverness.
