Andree L. Bias

Andrée L. Bias, of Hernando, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 under Vitas Hospice care in Hernando. She was 97. Andrée was born in St. Denis, France to René and Suzanne (Thibaut)  Courty and after marrying US Army Private James E  Bias at the end of WW2 returned with him to the US. She and her late husband moved to Citrus County from Virginia about 48 years ago, and made Hernando their home. Andrée was a homemaker, who adored her family and loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her loving husband James E Bias in 2008, her son-in-law Karl Powell, a grandchild Andrée (Dédée) and a great great grandchild Lily Anna. Those left to cherish her memory are her son Tex Bias (Margaret) of Ocala; her daughter Lily May Powell of Phoenix, AZ; her sister Raymonde and brother-in-law Eve of France; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and several other family members in France. Andrée will be laid to rest with James in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care, Inverness.
