“Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality” – Emily Dickinson
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Timmy Arthur McDougald of Floral City, Florida, on January 3rd, 2025.
Born August 8th, 1962, the son of an entrepreneur, Timmy learned at a very young age the value and pride in hard work. These qualities, along with his quick wit, one-line jokes, and mischievously funny personality, made him an easy friend and comrade.
A true Florida native, Timmy was a lover of the outdoors, but particularly loved fishing. It was a passion that he enjoyed sharing with his friends and family throughout his life, eventually purchasing his own personal paradise on a lake in Floral City, Florida. In his free time, Timmy also enjoyed woodworking and cooking. He was a great chef & could often be found passing through a new cookbook for inspiration & new ideas. Timmy was always willing to help a friend and offer a hand or advice. He was looked up to and respected by many for his kindness and willingness to be present.
Timmy loved his family deeply and was fortunate enough to share nearly 35 years of his life with his loving wife, Charlotte. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, uncle, and father. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte McDougald of Floral City, Florida, mother, Frances Cotton of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, brother, Jimmy McDougald of Brooksville, Florida, sister, Kathy Daugherty of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, daughter, Courtney McDougald-Flassing of Tampa, Florida and granddaughter, Alice Flassing of Tampa, Florida.
A celebration of life is to be held in Timmy’s honor on January 18th, 2025, at Lake Townsend Park, Brooksville, Florida, at 1:00 pm, 28011 Lake Lindsey Rd. Brooksville, Florida, 34601
