Arthur J. Lance Jr. (November 2, 1942 to February 16, 2024) Arthur (known as Art) Lance Jr. 81 of Beverly Hills, FL went to his heavenly home on February 16, 2024. Art was born in Perth Amboy, NJ to Arthur J and Helen Barcheski Lance. Art and his Wife, Valerie K. Lance, moved to the Beverly Hills area in 2017 from Punta Gorda, FL and became very active in their community.
Art was drafted in the Army in 1966 and held many different careers throughout his life, including long distance truck driving for Mayflower and hauling gasoline. He was a Thoroughbred Horse trainer (winning the Duke Ellington Award). He was one of the top-rated realtors for ReMax in Fort Myers, Florida. (Attaining #1 Realtor in the World: 2003 & 2005 and #1 Realtor in Florida in 2003, ‘04, ’05 & ’06). Art was an Avid Fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. Art was a pilot and loved to fly his own plane. He was a NASCAR enthusiast (following Jeff Gordon and Kyle Larson). Additionally, Art held a race car competition license driving a Spec Corvette and winning many races. He enjoyed watching football and was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Gadomski. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 18 years, Valerie K. Lance; his sons David W. Carnes (Logan Strike) and Steven Carnes; his grandchildren, Bradley and Ariana Carnes; nieces and nephews, Albert and Arthur Gadomski, Teresa Carruthers, Gail Overbaugh and Geri Kruckenberg, and Valerie’s Mother and Father, Vincent and Harriet Stolfi.
