Carmen Alicia Rivera, age 84, Inverness, FL passed away June 29, 2023 at Health Central Park Rehabilitation Center in Winter Garden, FL. Carmen was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on November 11, 1938 to the late Manuel and Susanna (Carrion) Rodriguez. She came to Florida in 1974 from New York with her late husband, “Gus” Rivera. He passed away on January 15, 1999. She worked as a seamstress and beautician during her younger years. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Noelia Rodriguez and Nilda Muniz. There are several nieces and nephews surviving.
Left to cherish her memory are: Lillian Ventrelli, Ruth Cerezo, Susan Amara, Jenny Lempel, Miriam Ferrell, Daisy La Torre, Gloria Cabrera, Evelyn Cabrera, Antoinette Collins, Yvonne Smith, Denise Cerbelli, Eddie Muniz, Carlos Mercado, Edna Muniz, Carmen Muniz, Freddy Rodriguez, Angel Rodriguez, Evelyn Peques, and others too many to mention.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 11:00AM, at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL, with a viewing beginning one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved Gus.
