Gary Wayne Conkright, 80, of Floral City, FL passed away on July 31st, 2022 at his home. He was born to the late Edwin and Eleanor Habasko Conkright on January 8th, 1942 in Gaylord, Michigan. He was a crane operator for a construction company for many years. He made Citrus County his home when he moved here in 1995 from Redford, Michigan. He enjoyed fishing, canning asparagus and other fruits and vegetables, and spending time with his friends getting a cold one.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Edwin Conkright, Jr. and Sharon Kaipio. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Gary DeChape (Alicia), Carol Conkright, Carla Corley (Johnnie), and Cheryl Borowicz (Larry); his siblings, Donald and Ronald Conkright and Karen Eades; his five beloved grandchildren; his two cherished great-grandchildren; and his dear friend, Carin Sanderson.
Arrangements for Gary are private at this time. Cremation with Care is under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
