Concetta V. Chinnici, resident of Inverness, FL, passed away on July 28th, 2022. She was born to Frank and Josephine (Placona) Iacono in Brooklyn, NY. She was an Administrative Secretary for the Citrus County School System for many years, and she also assisted the Guidance Counselors throughout the years, and helped many teens discover their passions and future careers through her gentle encouragement, servitude, and guidance.
Concetta made Citrus County her home in 1971 after moving from Uniondale, NY and made her church home at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She is described as extremely kind, caring, and considerate of others. She was a great mentor to all, especially her school children, and so many people enjoyed getting to know Concetta.
Along with her parents, Concetta was preceded in death by her beloved spouse of 55 years, Stephen; and her brother, Frank Iacono. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Stephen A. Chinnici (Patricia) and Michael J. Chinnici (Tammy). She will be greatly missed by all who got the privilege of meeting and knowing her.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Concetta at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church of Inverness on Tuesday, August 9th, 2022 at 10 AM, with Father Mike Suszynski officiating. A procession will take place immediately following the services, where her urn will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery of Inverness. Arrangements and Cremation with Care are under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
