Eugene Victor Szarek, 94, of Inverness passed away July 25, 2022, under the loving care of HPH Hospice at Arbor Trail. He was born March 11, 1928 in New York Mills, NY to the late Victor Szarek and Sadie Sass.
Eugene served his country proudly in the US Navy, from 1948-1952.
He was employed as a mechanical engineer and retired. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness. He moved to Citrus County in 1993 and resided in Beverly Hills and Inverness, eventually residing with his sister. He enjoyed playing golf and would always have a joke to share with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; Victor and Sadie Szarek, and his brother Edward Szarek.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister; Irene Winch and nieces, nephews, and friends.
Cremation with care under the direction of Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness. He will be laid to rest in the family plot at
St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Whitesboro, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations to HPH Hospice would be appreciated.
